Can you overdo the feeding of zucchini? I've been putting a slice in the tank every 2-3 days, especially for the otto cats, but platies and even cories seem to enjoy it. Thoughts?

In my estimation, overfeeding isn't determined by what but by how much.

So it depends how big of a slice, how often, how many fish, how large of a tank, and how often you change the water.

your regiment sounds like a very good one.

overfeeding will become a problem with fresh foods only when they begin to rot in the tank. as long as you take the remainder of the vegetable out after a set amount of time or it is all eaten, you shouldnt see any real problems.

I toss it in my tank whenever I can, I much rather prefer to feed fresh food over processed food most times.

I usually Put a piece in the day after I notice the piece before eaten.

In my tank, sometimes a slice gets eaten overnight- sometimes it takes two nights. It never starts to rot.
