Filter for a 2.5G?

Anyone recommend a good filter for a 2.5G? I can;t stand to leave the tank on filtered. It will probably shrimp or ADFs.

My first thought would be to use a sponge filter.

For shrimp, sponge is probably best. You don't want a ton of current.

I use a Red Sea Nano filter in a 2 gallon I have, but I have the intake wrapped with a sponge, the flow turned all the way down, and the output stuffed with a sponge to cut the flow even more. It's a good little filter with these modifications.
