A few months back, when I first started planting my tanks, I got a couple of acora plants. They are still healthy, they don't grow much (as should be expected). Everywhere I have read, these are extremely difficult to grow over a period of time, generally lasting only a few months. I do like these plants and want to know if anyone has had good results with them. I haven't had any problems but was just surprised at other comments since my seem to be thriving.

Acorus sp are rather difficult since they grow slow. But folks have had them for 6+ years and they did fine. Don't expect a lot of growth. Blyxa japonica is often used in the same manner is a bit more suitable but are not easy plants.

I think Acorus may need an emergent phase to do well? Maybe just certain species. I have seen them a few times grown more as bog-type plants rather than submerged.
