figure 8 puffers

Hi all.
i still havnt made my mind up. 1 figure 8 is what i think i will get but how many dwarf could i have. the tank is 25 gals. i no that the 8's like it brakish so how do i make the tank like that.
also how much are they i might get one on the week end i rang up and they said £4.95 - £5.95

You could easily have 5-7 dwarves, but you'll need to have lots of visual breaks and make sure you have more females than males.

Brackish water is made by using a marine salt mix, adding it to the water, and using a hydrometer to measure the specific gravity (should be about 1.005-1.018). You'll want to read up a lot more before starting this project--there's more to water chemistry than temperature and specific gravity.

If you haven't cycled the tank, don't purchase any fish this weekend. Puffers are very senstive to ammonia and nitrites, and will die. Check in the FW newbie section for information on cycling.

I have cycled it and i just this minute tested it and it have amonia 0 nitrates 0 AND ITS PH WAZ AROUND 8.5 I HAVE GOT SOME SPECIAL SAND THAT WOULD HAVE RAISED THE PH IT to high should i do a water change.
