yeserday my sick oscar past away and i decided to take my long finned down to the shop and get completly new fish and i got blue acaras,jewel cichlids and a breeding pair of mari gold peacock cichlids and i know nothing about them so and sites or info would be very help full thanks you

are you talking about african peacocks(aulonocara sp.) if so i have never heard of any being caled marigold peacocks. They also do go very well with the fish you already have blue acaras,jewel cichlids since i think they need different water.

I keep african peacocks and they need hard water with high pH. They can be fairly aggresive even though they are considered tame for africans.

I would look through some species profiles at www.cichlid-forum.com they have lots of really nice pictures.

Of course this is only if your fish is an african peacock, if it is somethign different then ignore me:D

ok i looked around some more and found a website that mentions marigold peacocks. http://www.adelaideaquariums.com.au/faqs/freshwater/fish/africich/peacockvar.html look under where they talk about albinos. It seems taht marigold describes a variation of an albino peacock or hybrid.
