Recently one of my smaller irridescent sharks has developed a small pimple like stop on its side. When taken from the tank for closer inspextion the spot was quite firm and did in fact feel like a human white head pimple.
She shark is showing no obvious signs of discomfort and is not rubbing itself on tank/gravel or acting in any suspicious way.
Cn anybody please advise me on what this could be. I will provide a picture of it wehn i can borrow digital camera and manage to calm them down long enough to take a picture. They freak out when ever i approach the tank, but will happily eat from my wifes open hand.

I agree with scott's diagnosis, so do some Googling on that disease. As for this:

(a) Give people a chance to look at this. I know that we're a big forum, but a lag time like that is not unreasonable, especially for a disease question where your fish isn't in discomfort.
(b) Just bump to top. Don't editorialize.
(c) If it's nothing complex, why are you asking us for help?
Okay, flaming over, but please just type "bump" and be done with it...you can flame us all you want if we don't respond after multiple bumps. Best of luck, and we look forward to the pix!

can the fish die from that?

No (well if taken care of) it is a viral infection and with proper feeding and water changes, and in short a proper environment, it will heal up in time. I had it on my blackbelt and was extremely paranoid but it healed up in about five weeks. There is still a mark but nothing like the zit before.

Okay, I apologize. I just get a little steamed by impatience...you might say that I was impatient with regard to what I perceived to be impatience.
Out of curiosity, is it lymphocystis that your fish has?
I will stand by the bump to top statement, though. We're okay with it as long as it's not abused--and I think that you would have been well within your rights to use it that time if you felt it necessary.
I apologize again, and hopefully you can solve some non-complex problems for us in the future! (Not meant to be a barb, but a true hope that your knowledge will pay off for us in the future.)
