Neon Tetras Sick

Ammonia Okay
Nitrates Okay
Hardness 10
pH Okay
(Thats what the lfs employee told me)

My Neon Tetras are about one week old at max and they have developed "lice" on them. Little white dots. Their eyes are buldging out and their mouths are always open.

What disease do they have?

Also, will raising the temp to about 80 and adding some salt solve the problem?

Sounds like ich to me. www.skepticalaquarist.com has info on ich treatment, as well as a whole host of other possible culprits for the sickness of your neons.

I agree, ich. Raise temp to 84F, add aquarium salt as directed and wait a few days and you'll see the infestation drop quickly.
