The aquarium is a 55 gallon, black back, truvue plexiglass tank, with a built in wet/dry filter. Includes light, stand and pump. This aquarium is in excellent condition and was only used for a few months.

You're right--it's not a 55. And for that much money, I wouldn't say it's a good deal. Sounds like it might be a custom tank, which will drive up the price a bit.

For that much money, you should be able to get a new 75, which would make an oscar much happier in the long run.

Not necessarily. I wouldn't pay it for a tank that size, but that might be a great deal on a custom tank, if such is what you're seeking!

(However, this is not what the original poster needs, so buy a new 75!!!)

I wouldn't pay that either, custom or not. The guy needs to realize that just because it's a custom tank it doesn't really drive the price up that much. I'd give him 120 at the most. I just got a hagen 135g with pine stand, glass top, triple flourescent strip for 660 canadian.

Not very nice...I believe the exchange rate is usually about 72 cents American to one dollar Canadian. :)

Which means cdawson got himself a good deal on a 135g.
