My t. lortetis just layed eggs! I knew something was up, because Pugsly (dad) was all over Pixie (mom). I've never seen him so active. He is always just hiding under the same leaf & never moves much. To tell you the truth, I thought there was something wrong with him. Today, he was swimming all over, all puffed up, with his big red chest out, looking like some kind of peacock. He was chasing Pixie & slamming into her, kind of knocking her around a bit, but not too rough. She kept stopping at this one small bushy plastic plant & when I looked just now, there are dozens of eggs in the plant. I've got quite a nursery zoo going on here. I have 3 consecutive weeks of mongurnda adspersa (purple spotted gungeon) fry too.

I would have loved to get some shots of Pugsly in all his glory! What a beautiful irridescent blue tail he has! I don't have a digital cam as of yet. I hope so soon. The eggs are tiny little dots. No one seems to be guarding them. I wonder if the parents will eat the fry. I'm already using a 15g for the gundgeon fry, I have an extra 10gal for the puffer fry if needed.

You should remove the parents for the time being until the fry hatch and are old enough to not be eaten. Just in case, but only if you've got enough room to hold them. :)
