Anyone with large pleco vs. acrylic experience?

I recently set up a 100 gallon acrylic tank and noticed my 12" pleco is hanging onto the sides more than when he was in the 55 gallon glass tank.

Does anyone here have experience with plecos in acrylic tanks? I.e. will he scratch the sides of the tank?

No speculation please, I'm looking for experience...

Will 2nd hand do? Yes, they can scrape the side, but it takes a lot of concentrated effort, I saw the results on a friend's tank.

Thanks. Due to responses on this and other forums, I traded him in to the lfs for $12 store credit. I got 3 otos, 1 upside-down cat, and a powder blue gourami which will be going in a different tank.
