I have a ten gallon half filled with the male in it, it has floating plants, and tepm at 80F. i have 4 females in a tank next to him for him to choose from, but after i did a water change, he stoped building his bubble nests. i'm almost thinking about switching him out for another male, since i've had him for a while, about 5 months already. could he jube be getting too old?

I thought when you place the male in the spawning tank you didn't do any water changes til the little fry's are several weeks old? Go to www.bettatalk.com for more info on breeding bettas and good luck. I'm researching now....but i'll soon be in the same boat trying to breed the betta fishy........that is if he don't decide to cloud up and rain all over my plans.......:D

Again good luck

Make sure there's no current on the top either, I made that mistake long ago.
