I'm curious what everyone has in there tanks especially people with 100+ gallon tanks.
I really want Oscars,CLownknife,Clownloach and have been advised against a Frontosa but i might do it anyways.

Read my aquarium specs to see what I am currently keeping. I am thinking about getting back into saltwater again..I really do miss it.

To prove that I wasn't being rude:
I am currently keeping four Corydoras cats (two C. aeneus var. Albino, one C. julii, and one C. ambiacus) and one Otocinclus spp. cat, all in my 10 gallon.
At one point, I had two more Ottos and a Betta splendens but they have since passed on.
I have a Nepenthes ventricosa pitcher plant in another 10 gallon.
At home, my mother keeps a Carassius auratus var. Comet in my room in a bucket until it warms up enough to put it in the pond.

A red parrot....meanest fish around??? I mean I'd be pretty pissed if I were a hybrid freak too but I don't think that dub's it the meanest fish out there. The thing wouldn't be able to survive in the wild because of its small mouth mainly. It wouldn't be able to defend itself. Ask that guy if he has ever heard of a jag, dovii or umbee

I'll try the same but will probably miss a few:
1-Black Shark
3-Blue Gouramis
3-Pink Kissing Gouramis
2-Common Plecs
1-Sailfin Plec
4-Emerald Cats
5-Bosemani Rainbows
5-Leopard Danios
3-Bala Sharks
3-Dwarf Gouramis
5-Clown Loaches

4-Pictus Cats

Midas are generally big meanies but remember, each fish, no matter what species it is, will have its own personality. My Midas is pretty mean but I can still put my hand in the tank to clean without worrying about him attacking. He's only bitten me twice in the 1.5 years I've had him. Aside from the meanie-ness, Midas are great fish. Mine loves to play chase and has his own bath toys that he chases, charges and bites. He loves to give "kisses" too. ;)
8 danios (4 long-finned leopard, 1 long-finned zebra, 3 zebra)
6 lemon tetras
3 cories (2 spotted, 1 elegans)
2 ottos
1 male kribensis ("George")
1 female kribensis ("Martha")
1 betta ("Sparky")

yes they are all in the same tank, it looks just like the vampire charican except shorter. i am going to look at a 300 gal right now for $600 canopy lights and filters just need a stand :D

That's gonna be one hell of a royal rumble, even in the 300...you might look at getting rid of some of them!
jaredb
05-24-2003, 12:39 PM
they get along good now but my main reason for a larger tank is that my oscars are starting to get teritorial. and 55 galons of water and all those fish makes for a lot of cleaning
So what you're saying is a 300 will make the cleaning easier. Cool. You should probably go ahead and get rid of some of those as stated above ESPECIALLY if that wolf fish you are talking about is a dovii.

You would be surprised, my parrots are the only fish I have owned that attacked me out of anger(not even when protecting eggs). My big yellow one will practiaclly come out the water to get you, I hate rearanging decor because she goes nuts. She hates the gravel cleaner too.

It depends on which of the Con genes they got and which of the other (Sev, is it?) genes they got! They can be extremely mean, IME (pet shop fish tried to destroy a net the other day...)!
Yeah I don't know much about the hybrid's but if it has con genes I'd believe it. I've seen some pretty nasty Con's before. I have a pretty nasty male that has staked out territory on the right half of my 29 against the female and he is vicious if she comes in that area, yet he's allowed in her portion and he hangs out with her. Anyway I was just curious and confused, I didn't realize nor hear parrots were mean
I have frontosas, they're just not in my my 100+ tanks. I have two small ones in my 55 African tank. They were in one of my 75's but they didn't look happy so I moved them on a trial basis. It's easier to feed them in my 55 right now so I'm going to wait until they bulk up to move them back.
They are beautiful fish. My larger male absolutely loves the camera. Whenever I get it out, he's right there to have his pic taken.

I'm going to say that it's a myth to say that the fact that a tank works now implies that it will work later. The snapping turtle, gar, and many other of the inhabitants will turn that tank into an all-out brawl. Tell us that this exact arrangement has worked a year from now, and we'd be a little more receptive to it being a good idea. However, the size of the AST will make this impossible to keep long-term.

Its red devil/midas genes they have not convict(although JB parrots are BPxConvict).Apparently the other fish they used is a severum but I think BP's are just inbred red devils/midas.
