What sorts of aquaria?

Those that are supposed to be acidic in nature should not have any carbonate-based rocks...you can tell by dropping a little vinegar on the rocks and watching to see if the rocks fizz. Carbonate-based rocks are great for alkaline tanks, though.

Any sharp rocks would not be a good idea for your tanks.

You would need to somehow sterilize the rocks prior to including them in the tank.

If they had shales and slates, those would work nicely. If the Cons and Os are separate, I would think that you could use some Limestone with the Cons...
