What type of lighting do I need???

I have a 45 gal. tank setup with 4" DSB and 45lbs. of LR. Also I would like to have corals and clams when I get this setup. I want to go with the best lighting out there just in case I go with a bigger tank, I don't want to keep upgrading. So any suggestions would be appreciated. thakns

If you want lighting that can support all corals and clams I would suggest a 250 watt metal halide with some actinic supplementation. Just remember if you upgrade to a wider tank (4 to 6 feet) you will need to add 1 or 2 more halide fixtures.
