I am going away for a few days and want to leave out some water to top off the tanks when i return. I will be gone for four days. Can I leave it sitting in the milk jugs for that long.....

Yeppers...should be fine, unless there are chemicals in the jugs...

That's how I usually age my water...I store it in 5 gallon jugs for a week or two at a time...never need to add water conditioners either. You'll also get a true reading of your tap water's pH and other parameters after this "out gassing" takes place.

Good point...unless there is Chloramine in the tap water. That's not quite so volatile as Chlorine, so it may or may not be removed by aging.
