Hello, I picked up this little cichlid from LFS today. No one there seemed to know what it is. Someone said maybe a cross between a FH and severum. What do you all think? Thanks!

looks like it could just be a normal severum cichlid....a port cichlid???
or a pusillum(Cichlasoma pusillum)
....or just go to this site and clink on each picture...

I could be wrong...it is way toooooooooooo early to tell...because your cichlid looks ssssssoooooooo young...someone else might have a better idea...these are the pix I found that look real close to yours...does its eyes look like either in the pix...
