So we are taking my sisterinlaw and her new husband to my favorite fishy store in about two hours to pick up thier first tank inhabitants. I am going so she doesn't get anything too big for her 10g wedding present (we cycled the filter, too).

Well, I really want some pandas for the bottom of MY 10g, but I'm not sure they would fit... I have 5 h. rasboras, 3 brilliant rasboras and 2 rescued neon tetras. The tank is moderately planted, cleaned every 5-7 days and runs an AC 30.

Thanks for reading!

i think you would be pushing it, but you could get away with it because none of the fish are very messey at all. Just make sure to keep up with WCs weekly. Plus a tank isn't complete without a couple panda cories, i love them.

There's always room for corys!.....But seriously I agree with the above post it would make for an overstocked tank, but if well maintained you could keep the fish "happy" and healthy.

Remember that a lot of the chemical waste that builds up in tanks will concentrate around the bottom so the added corys will make frequent water changes a must. Especially while the filter is adjusting to a slightly higher bioload.

I really like groups of 6 on cory. I'll bet you could get a 20 while you're there for $20......

Thanksnfor all the replies! I thought that they would be pushin it. I keep looking at a 20g long, but my lease says no fishies at all, and I already have a 10g and 40g. I don't want to push it.... Maybe someday...

I honestly think it would be fine.... your bioload isn't very high with rosboras and a couple neons.

I think 3 cories would be ok myself.... but I am not as "conservative" as others....

A second filter always helps . . . . . especially if the bioload is walking the line.
