Ebo has been making quality, long-lasting heaters forever. I've never heard of Tronic.

I have visi-therms on my tanks. Never had a problem. Ihad one on a 55 g 10 years ago also with no problems.

Both are good heaters. I prefer Ebos, as they are built a bit more ruggedly.
Some will claim that Tronics cannot get stuck in the 'on' position by virtue of their electronics, but it's not true. I had a Tronic that nearly cooked a tankful of fish.
They are generally considered to be two of the best brands of heaters, and you'd most likely be happy with either.

I have both and I'm very happy with both. I guess I'd stick with the Ebos since they are thicker, but Tronics do make those handy dandy heater guards. I guess I'm not voting just because I can't choose.

I have a 90 gallon set up and I use an Ebo as well, spend the money and go with quality.

I was advised against ebo by many people. I choose visatherm and absolutely love them. I have two of the stealth ones and three of the regular ones... all of which are backed by a life time guarentee. If you order them from a place like bigals than they are super cheap too. Mine have a constant temperature at any time the way its calibrated on the thermostat is not always accurate but very close so once you get it dialed in your good to go

IME you can avoid cooking fish by picking a heater that is half the watts of what you need and buying two of them.
I have two 150w Stealths on my 75gs, one at each end of my tank beside each filter. That way if one goes beserk, the other will shut off and the rogue one cannot heat the tank up to the point where the fish will suffer.
Oh, and I would vote for the Jager, but I use Visi-Therm "Regular" and Stealths.
