My mom installed a 300 gallon stock tank into our back yard yesterday, replacing our worn out, wal-mart 125 gallon pond. Its a 5' circumference, 2' deep horse trough with water lilies and a filter designed for up to 300 gallons. I'm not sure what kind of filter though, cause I haven't looked yet.

So far she has a single koi, two feeder goldfish from last year, and a fantail goldfish. She's curious if she can get more koi... what do you think???

Um, probably not. Koi are huge when they get to be full-grown, and, if I recall correctly, they need about 300 gallons worth of space a piece at that point.
