I have heard that feeding Cyclopese is excellent for coral color, but is there a food that is best for coral growth?

I have used Reef Chili and Coral Frenzy w/ excellent results. Target feeding twice a week.

Of course, all the other factors (Ca, Alk, pH, lighting, etc)are even more important. Make sure all of the chemistry is stable and in order before you worry about supplemental feeding.

I've had good luck dosing a touch of reef trace once a week and target feeding LPS once a week, every three days I turn pumps off and dribble a little phyto plex or bio plankton in for the SPS (and the pod population that seems to thrive on it). New to the whole reef thing so I couldnt tell you if this is perfect or not. I dose half the recommended of Purple up every other day to help encourage the coralline.

I will say that with the investment I made on good lighting and doing a small 5 gal water change every other day (72 bowfront) has helped me keep my stats well in check and the tank nice and clean. The good pod population that sprung up helps as well I'm sure.
