I'm interested in potentially picking up some Fiji cured LR from
premiumaquatics.com as well as some LS and just wanted to see if anyone has had good / bad luck buying from them.....
Price: $4.50 / lb seems like a really good price for cured Fiji rock....
My only concern is with shipping....Is it ok if it sits outside for a few hours until I get home from work?
Thanks!

Well...it certainly doesn't help any. Being out of water is hard on the organisms by the minute, so longer is not good. I suppose it depends alot on your temperature. Make sure they don't get too cold or hot. If that's what you have to do, then that's what you have to do. Just try and make the wait outside as short as possible.

Can't say, haven't the experience.
For sitting outside--it depends on what a few hours is, and how hot or cold it will get. If the temp will be steady, ie, mid 70's, you should be okay, though it won't do the LR any favors. Much higher or lower and you're increasing the die off. I would check with the shipping agency to confirm that they will leave the package--in many cases, they will not leave a package unless someone signs for it. You can make arrangements to do this in advance, or to meet the truck at their warehouse, in many cases. Otherwise, an hour or 2 should be fine.
One thing to keep in mind: the shipping process will cause die-off, meaning you will need to re-cure the rock. With uncured rock, you get a wider diversity of life, which may include some undesirables--but you can get those with cured rock as well.

I have been there and the stuff is good, really nice rock. I live about 2-3 hrs away and just drove over there. I would recommend going there and transporting it home yourself. There is another place in Indiana to the west side in Terra Haute thats a really nice place for rock, Inland Aquatics. Really nice stuff at both places.
