Aloha!

I really think I will be getting myself into creating a raised wooden pond like this one...

Anyone have one of there or have any comments on these?

Thanks!

I couldn't get the picture to come up. I do have a raised wooden pond. It has been set up since last june. All of my fish made it through the winter. My pond is approx 7' x 7.5' x 3'. I'm guessing around 1200 - 1300 gal. I could be wrong. I'll have to see if I can find a picture for you.

I was wrong. My pond is 7' x 7.5' x 3.5'. Let's see if this picture will work.

I have 8 gold comets, 2 sassaras comets, 1 shubunkin, and 1 koi. Getting ready to give most of my gold comets to my cousin when their pond is finished. All are between 3" - 4.5".

Hey There!

Thank you for your photo! Looks pretty much how I want mine to look. Please keep in touch so I can ask for help as I build it... hopefully soon I will start building!

Thanks

Ive heard of it done with old railway sleepers...wouldnt know how though. I think I have an article on it somewhere, I'll try and fish it out for you and post extracts that I think might be of use.

Hawaii_Fantails feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. I will be happy to try and answer any questions.

I finally found my receipts for the pond. Grand total was $520.00. Wood and rebar was $125.00 and then the rest was for the liner, pump, filter, a light, tubing and fountain. That doesn't even include plants or fish.

Last August I found a UV at a petstore that was moving and everything there was 50 - 75% off. I ended up paying around $90 for the UV after the discount and mail-in rebate. Not Bad. I couldn't pass that one up.
