I have seen lots of decorations for aquariums that have moving parts, like windmills, but they are all powered by air pumps, and you see the bubbles to spoil the illusion. Are there any decorations like this that are powered by moving water, a water pump, rather than air?

Haven't seen any, but I suppose some could be.

get the windmill, retrofit a high pressure pump onto it, and make that baby spin......

Easy. Take a powerhead and drill some holes slightly smaller than the plastic airline valves in it. Shove the airline valves in the holes. Shove a cork in the end of the output or use a glob of silicone. Not too much, so that it doesn't go past the valves. If you use silicone, let it cure at least 5 days.

Connect your airline decorations to the powerhead and adjust the flow to each.

Make sure to put a sponge filter on the intake to keep debris out of your decorations.

that wouldnt work out so well, because the powerhead wont have enough static pressure behind it to move water through 1/4" airline tubing very well.

Some of them could run off of a modified spray bar with air line valve control.
