would it be ok to house a single convict with an opeline gourami and 2 pearl gourami? please dont shout im only enquiring :) it would be in a 29gallon long. any opinions appreciated,thanks

you could keep one convict on its own in a 29 gal but in the smaller space it would be more aggressive and there for more than likely kill the gourami's.

I think pearl gouramis are too wimpy to be with a con

the first time i had cons. (dont yell at me for this) there was a breeding pair(not on purpose) in a ten gallon with a honey gourami. there were some fin nipping but it worked out just make sure there is a corner or something safe enough for the gouramis to hide

This is applying stress to the bullied fish.

Other cichlids would work. Keyholes, festivums, maybe rainbows . many others but you may have a hard time finding them
