Those that borrow or are really good hiders? How do you find them if they dont want to come out? Ideas or tricks?

We know that our firefish burrows, and his spot, you will NOT be able to even see his eyes (darn nooks and crannies). But he comes out when the light is on to hunt.

We also have and Emerald Crab - for the first few days, I never saw him - thought he might be lost. But I found him the other day scavenging, happy as can be (looks like he is chowing down on popcorn).

Thanks

Aries

You don't always. I've had a cleaner wrasse for just over 2 years and I still don't know where he "sleeps". All I know is that he's there every morning before lights on ready for breakfast!!!!

But if you want to trap something try cutting a pop bottle just below the neck and "screw" it into your sand so that the narrow neck is pointing up, chuck a bit of food in there when ligts are off and see what's in there in the morning.

Hehe, you may never find these hiding creatures. At night you can try to use a red-lensed flashlight to see where they may be, but of course it won't help you if they've buried themselves.
