Thanks for the positive feedback folks (Pics are not Mojo quality, but I'm working on it). I also keep plenty of SA-CA, but africans are definitely my first love.......
Errn7...I'll post pics of the new wild caught fronts tonight...
Krowland.....I'll get pics of some of my tanks up later as well.
PootsPeete/Oscar and Andy...I have no idea why you cant see the pics...I'll see what I can do....Maybe a moderator can identify why you cant see them or let you know if there's a setting you have to change.......

gregga, I figured out why I could not see your lovely pictures of your fish before as I am assuming I am using an old version of Netscape as a browser. I then went directly into the internet without a browser and I have no problems seeing your pictures now. Maybe the others who also could not view the pictures are dealing with an outdated browser?
They are very nice and the quality is excellent! I especially like the peacock. I do not have any Cichlids of my own, but maybe one day. Thanks for sharing the pictures!

Cichlids Forum seems to go through waves of what type of cichlid people talk about. there use to be a lot of talk about Africans.

The reason you see so much CA/SA lately in the forum is that MoJo, the adminstrator, loves CA and started many threads on CA with photos. I have kept CA/SA before like Oscar, GT and Dampsey but currently I keep mostly Africans mixed in with a few small CA like Nicaraquesis and Thorichthys species. I like both American and African cichlids but for ease of maintenance, I stay with Africans because they are smaller and a 75 gal can comfortably house a dozen or more fish. The same tank can house only one large CA. I was more impressed by CA than Africans when I went to fish show because CA are bigger, bolder and more showy than diminutive Africans. But the effort to keep CA is just too much for me. If you like to talk Africans only, here is a dedicated forum: http://www.african.uklinux.net/phpBB/index.php

This is my formerly owned C. moori who died of old age after 8 years. I have three young replacement now but it will take a couple years before they get the big hump. Many CA and SA have hump but moori is the only Lake Malawyi fish that I know of that age with a hump.
