Eheim 2215 Vs. Fluval 404

not to argue a fine point here.....

BUT:

of course they will sell you the more expensive product, especially if it ties you to *them* for buying media replacements. (most LFS around here don't carry eheim.)

i'm not knocking eheim tho, i honestly haven't used one. i do own 2 fluvals tho, and i know several other people that use them successfully. eheim has a good reputation tho, just pricey and personally i would want a primer pump (some eheims don't come with one).

Well taken on the price.

This is the main reason why many lfs will not carry them because of the huge price compared to other canister filters.

The ease of use, cleaning and maintance and durability are why i recommend these. I do use and have used BOTH items. The old fluvals were such a pain to get that o ring to stay on after cleaning them.

The self primer is also a plus, my old fluvals didnt have that, i don't know about the old ehiems as i hadnt used them back then.

By the way i asked them what was better out of the fluval 404 and Eheim 2215. if you look at big als they are the exact same price!

But then i jsut decided to get Eheim my LFS does sell Eheim and the lady there also said Eheim is by far better
