I have a 30 gallon tank with natural color gravel, two pieces of artificial driftwood, and some artificial plants. I am leaning toward getting catfish for my tank but I have no idea what to get. I would also like to get other fish besides catfish.

how bout a bristlenose pleco?
Thirty gallons, hmmm, well theres lots of catfish that would do just fine in your tank, its really up to you, some good candidates are corys,small plecos,kuhli loaches,dojo loaches,spotted raphaels (striped raphaels will outgrow your tank). Its really hard to make a list as theres so many, why dont you give us more of a hint what your looking for and we can most likely help you better, good luck.
A really big school of cories would be a blast.
