As you know i've got a pair of kribs in a 18gal UK from what I was told. The female wants to get busy with my male, but the male doesn't seem interested...

2 questions...
-What are some good dithers (target fish) i've got platy's but they stay high up in the water and very rarely distract my male krib...I'm thinking maybe a paradise fish (or a brightly coloured fish) to get the male a bit more alert and then see the female

-Or the other option is to add a male krib and get the male modivated and run the risk of perhaps 1 male killing the other ( Don't want a dead krib in my tank) would they do ok together? by female wants some loving for sure she dances and shakes pretty much wheneva the male looks at her for more than 2 secs...all day long...

what are your thoughts.

lol I just recently tried that with my cons. They just suddenly stopped showing interest in each other so I added my other male con to the tank to see the response and the response was my prize male clyde went to the female and like "blocked" her from my other male. and started swinging his flared tail rapidly. Then it started to look as if things were about to get nasty so I replaced the other male back into his original tank and now the con pair have shown a slight more interest but not much. I don't know if kribs would react the same or not. I also don't know if its worth the money and time to spend trying that out should it not work. Kribs are significantly less aggressive though, so who knows.

yea i'm not sure if its worth the money either...if he the newly added male dies, or is injured I can't take him back like that or put him anywhere else...my 5 gal is inhabited by a crayfish..yikes! hmm I need a few more opinions but so far its 1 pt for getting new krib...it seems unlikely that it would die because there are plently of places for it to hide if they got nasty...
