Hey all
Just caught my second mantis out of my 100g.
Very cool and fascinating animals.Very destructive also.
Lost numerous snails and critters due to them.
My first one went to my red ear slider.
My second one, about two inches long, went to my snowflake eel.
He swallowed him whole........................................

Too bad you didn't save one. There are folks on these boards who would have crapped their pants at the chance to buy one off of you.

He got increasingly brave and would come out all the time.
I think I lost an inch and a half hi fin red banded goby to him.
I was kinda hoping my lionfish would've munched him.
Just kept stinging .
Eel had no qualms.

The one you kept dumping fish into that kept dying. I recall you lost quite a few in the beginning. Hopefully that problem has become a bit more managable by now.

Wow they go from slip to you.

indeed they did. guess he had other things to take care of, so it left a void that someone had to fill. =) anywho, welcome back to the board..

So whatcha stocking these days? I agree, feeding that shrimp to an eel was a tragic loss. Many people dedicate entire tanks to those guys. I can see the need to eradicate it though, they can indeed be a major pain.

Ok, and in which tank does this monster reside? I'm thinking if you actually had such a critter, he'd be the only one listed in his tank. See? We're not so slow that we can't spot a liar ;)

ahh, I see... So how many new fish would ya say you've killed since you've been away from the board? Just curious, cuz I know you were having a lot of problems back in the beginning.

I'm a bit quicker than ya Corax cause knew it would be a Moray :D . I guess I cheat though since I have a 3ft one. I also thought it was a joke since Zebra Morays are not known for eating fish. Mine is in with my triggers and they get along great along with the 2.5ft Snowflake. Some mods are quicker than others :D ! JK!

Well, I assumed it was some kind of eel, but I was trying to figure out which tank he had it in and why someone wouldn't list a specimen like that initially. One doesn't forget about a 4' Moray eel ;)

Glad it was a joke though, feeder triggers can get expensive ;)

Yeah, understand. Ya know I do feed 99 dollar Clown and Queen Triggers to my Snowflake. It only costs me about 497 dollars a month to feed him ;) (I am being extremely sarcastic, my eel does not eat fish, he eats everything else though)! True about the forgetting part, it would be like forgetting you have a dog or something! Anywho, its been fun! :)
