Hello,
Please take a look at the pictures below and tell me if you know what could be the problem with my plants.
The tank (240 l Juwel) gets water changes 20% weekly and the plants get some nutrients. Light is on about 15 hours a day.
The plant in the first picture is almost dead... you can hardly see some green left in it, the rest is almost brown.
Thank you for any advices.

Standard Juwel "comes with the setup" lighting? i.e. about 1 Watt per gallon, tubes not noted for their plant growing qualities?

low light is likely a cause in the first pict but also that could happen if there is a change in the system, as in lighting, ph, hardness, or changes in the nutrient supply.
the second picture looks like a combination of macro and micro nutrient deficiencys. I will have to go look at my refferences to say for cirtain what those are but the symtems of quite a few of them overlap.
potassium is the nutrient lacking when old leaves start to get holes in them
that is the most glaring deficiency but I am sure there are others
I would suggest getting a print out of the elements used by plants and what the deficiencys look like. my computer skills are still developing so could some one give a link to such info, that would be great

Thank you for the advices.
I will try a new nutrient: Florenette A from Sera.
Faramir - they say the 2 tubes that came with the tank are good for plant growth.
SnakeIce, I will try to find a product that provides potassium that the plants need.

Alas this is not true. It is not intense enough for one thing - you need at least 2Watts per gallon for good growth. I think you'll find the tubes you've got give you nearer 1.
Grumpy - Here is a link that will help:

Scan down to "nutrient deficiencies". There are also a number of good topics on that page.
I'm unfamiliar with a '240 I Juwel', but you do need to have a minimum of 1.5 watts/gal. for success with most plants.

Pure potassium is K2SO4....I think some usek a salt substitute called Nu-Salt, or No-Salt. And I think Salt-Petre also. You could check out the ingredients on them. (I use pure K2SO4)

K2SO4 or KCl for K.
Salt Petre for N.
