I got the co2 level up to 15 ppm. Using the hagen co2 system. I had been using the supplied yeast mixture. Co2 level never got above 4.7. So I emptied the container and added just over a 1/4 teaspoon of fleischmans yeast. Yea ha man its bubbling like crazy. Big improvement. Now maybe the hair algea will go way. Tim

I use a wine yeast compound - it comes with its own nutrient. This seems to go well at room temp on a mix that on a bread yeast was doing naff all.

I have a 20 gal also. I started out with 30 watts(2 reg strip lights) plants were not doing very good. So I purchased a 55 watt kit from ah supply. Now I have 70. Im going try some wine or brewers yeast as soon as I can find some. Tim
