My first thought was that it wasn't a 10 gallon - you have defiinitely succeeded in making it look big and beautiful.

I agree with the others. You've accomplished your mission. It looks at least twice the size that it is. Very nice job.

To me, your tank was one of the best in the contest !!! We still can't see specs on most of the tanks but I think yours was one of the only small ones and it's pictures fooled the judges for a bit in to thinking it was large too. :D

WoW! Nice job!
It DOeS look bigger that a 10 gallon. Very nice variety and the different heights help a lot. Excellent. :)

Ken, it would be nice to post your tank in 'General Freshwater' forum too. You may 'convert' some non-plant people to 'doing the right thing' and having nice planted tanks... :D

(I do know some fish do not 'get along' with plants --- it's not for all aquariums. )

Great looking tank all thumbs up :) Must be alot of pruning done regularly. It really does look nice! He's an 'expert' at not pruning--someone that knows plants... There are no Vals or Ancharis in there!

I thought there'd be some pruning going on too, but maybe not. There's short foreground plants up front ..

WOW..
10 gals.... :)

Thanks for all the comments.
I prune my tank once every two weeks. The Rotala indica is the one I trim most often.
At the biginning I had Corkscrew val in the tank, but it made the tank look small. Here is a picture of the tank at 2 months.

Hey, that's not fair! I have pretty much the same set-up, right down to the Ebo Jager heater, but I can't seem to get my tank to look like yours :)

You didn't mention your water parameters. KH?

Also, looking at your pic with the Val, your heater is completely submersed. Isn't there a maximum water level line on it? There's one on mine, and I was quite disappointed about that when I got it. Is your a "submersible" model while mine isn't, or did you just choose to ignore them?

Anyway, great job, I like it! I'll post my tank when it looks like that! :)

Hey Starry, the water level line on the Ebo-Jager is for minimum levels. It means not to go below that line. So it is 100% submersible. My first Ebo was 10 years and never had a problem submerging it under water. The only thing I replaced is the suction cups and clip.

I don't mention the water parameters because I don't own a test kit and never had major problems yet.

Your tank is beautiful but where are the fish?? I don't know if you actually have any in there or not but I certainly don't see any in the pictures. Do you find it a problem to find your fish and view them? Other than that it's absolutely gorgeous.

Above the line, mine says "Do not immerse beyond water level." That's some fancy wording. I've had it since around october, and I've kept it upright, with the top portion sticking out of the water? I feel really stupid if I'm doing this backwards.
