I have a female saulosi with another female and a male. They do fine together. One female has many permanenet sharp black spots on her. She is healthy otherwise. This is way different from darkening upon excitement and stress. She is a mature lady with several batches of fries.

Is this some form of fungus? There are also a big patch which is discolored orange. It looks different than the rest of the skin.

How should I treat my lady? :)

Thanks,

Where are the black spots? Some of my africans have black dots on their chins and thoat area. But it doesn't seem to be causing them any problems and have been that way for a few months now.

I posted my question on another board and they said it is nothign to worry about http://www.cichlid-forum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=16120&highlight=

If the dots are kind of like a blac version of ich(dots on teh fins and body) then its somethign else. I remember reading up about some black dot disease when i was concerned about my fish.maybe do a disease search and see what comes up.
