Thanks to AC members for their helpful advice about predation being a possible cause of excessive fish losses recently. After discussing the situation with LFS we removed two damselfish, a harlequin bass, and another whose name I'm not clear on. They generously gave us 90% credit.
Currently we have two tomatoe clowns, a purple dottyback. small blue tang, royal gramma, and two-spot hogfish. The plan is to eventually stock the 75 gal tank with as many as 15 fish. Can any of you out there help us with suggestions as to calm, peaceful fish that we might consider. Sure don't want a repeat of the old scenario, not to mention the job it was to completely empty and then section off the tank in order to remove four small fish. Once again, thanks for the help. Maybe a few chromies in place of the damsels...

Maybe a couple of gobies, firefish, etc...

A few cardinal fish?

Maybe a foxface?

When I want to learn about fish, I go to www.liveaquaria.com and just look around at the different fish, read people's reviews, etc...

Also what ever you stock go from least to most aggresive. It's probably a good idea to isolate new additions for the tomatoe's as well they can be rather aggresive. If you really want that many fish in your tank they'll have to be mostly small varieties so as not to overtax the bio-filter. You should also try your best to avoid close relatives and look alike species as s.w. fish don't often share well with others.
cheers
