I just got some hairgrass and how much light do they need and do they need any kind of ferts or special soil or anything like that? I got a 10 gallon tank and its got 15 watts on it and im going to be adding a fert thats called theBullet. So its in a 10 gallon tank thats got 15 watts on it and going to be adding ferts in a few days and dos it need anything els? Thanks!

15w over a 10 is very low light and I think the hairgrass will need a little bit more. It will also need CO2. I've never heard of the bullet fertilizer so I don't know if it will address of the the plant's needs.

Will the hair grass survive under 15 watts of light in a 10 gallon tank tho and ferts?

Hairgrass does best with a nutrient rich substrate, high light, CO2 injection, and regular fert dosing. Your current setup is not adequate for growing it IMO.

Under 15w of light over a 10g, my prediction is that it will brown and die. :(

Couldn't tell you how effective the additional daylight would be.

You'd want to bump up the light to around 30-40w.

The sooner you add CO2 the better.

Will 40 watts of PCs lights work? Can the 40 watts of PCs be those 6500k spiral bulbs? Or will i need the wattage to be more if its going to be the spiral bulbs?
