Nothing specific here, I'm just curious. How long usually before your powerhead wears out. It would be nice if you could also post the brand name and specs of your powerhead. I just want to get a general idea. Thanks in advance.

That is a good question. When I had mts I used to buy all the same of every product, i.e. the same power heads, same hob filter, same heater, etc. I noticed that some of the powerheads lasted longer than others, by as much as 100%. I came to the conclusion that part of tank maintenance is to put my hand in the water near the outflow and make sure they are still working properly.
