If they're the only fish, you could have half a dozen or more. What are the actual dimensions of the tank? [i]B. rerio[/b] is small, but appreciates good swimming space.

Welcome hle!

Are you only having Zebra Danios in the ten gallon? If that is the case I would say 5-7 of them.

You should do a 20% water change weekly.

Danios need warm water, in the 72-78 degree range I think...You will need a heater unless the tank will be in a warm room.

I think you can have more than that. You should do fine with 10 and a few cories. Zebra's are very hardy.

I don't know about that because a 10g tank is pretty small. At most, I would only put about 7 or 8 fish in.

We are talking Zebra's here. I have tanks stocked higher than this. I have 50 Rummey nose, 10 Zebra's, 10 Black Mollies, 3 Altums, 5 SAE's and 10 Ammano Shrimp in a 75 gal. This has been setup for over six months. No Problems. I have friends that overstock way more than this and they dont have problems either. It depends on the fish, Filtration, and maintenance. The old rule of thumb about fish inches and gallons is all but worthless IMO.

This guy has a Biowheel and UGF. If he does the maintenance, the Zebra's will do OK. They may not be as happy as theh could be in a larger tank, but what fish is? Even 1 fish in a 100 gallon tank is confined, if you compare to nature.
