Hi guys,
In these two videos I am trying to illustrate the way the firemouths take care of the fry.
In the first video they are safe within their cave.
In the second video they are above the rock and you can see how the parents get fiesty defending the territory.

I have three and possibly a fourth breeding pair in this 180g tank! I love all the interaction between the different pairs!

I have 1 Breeding pair in a 55g with a Jaguar Cichlid, and they make great parents, they defend their fry very well, they just had their last batch of eggs hatch a couple days ago. I also have a fry tank with 80 1/4" FireMouth fry. FireMouths are by far my favorite cichlid of all, the behavior they display is magnificent.
