Live Ph Monitor

I wouldnt just for fear of leaching chems into my water colum. Testing for me is matter of pulling out a small amount of water, adding to test tube, add three drops, cap and flip a couple of times, takes less than a minute. why mess with a good thing. And you shouldn't worry about a PH crash unless you have OTS (old tank syndrome).

I have never used anything like this...but at $20 per month if it were really important for me to know such detail I would seriously consider getting a pc based system....but, then again I love toys :)

I have used the hangers before and have found them to be pretty accurate - I have not used this particular one though.

I doubt that they're accurate. But anyways, pH isn't really something to worry about, let alone pay 20 bucks a month for. I haven't had a pH swing in my tanks.......ever.

But if you're looking for 24/7 monitoring, for that price I would look for electronic monitors, which cost something like 80 dollars.....

i use the one for ammonia when i'm cycling.. i still do the liquid tests daily, but the 24/7 monitoring is nice so that i can see if it drops before test.

but PH doesn't change much usually.. so i dont know why you would want to monitor it 24/7

where do you purchase a reliable PH test kit? I bought one at wal mart and the color comparison chart is worthless.

i have one in my tank and its always wrong. save your money
