:huh:Is this what this is? It is where his left nostril should be. At first I thought it was just a scrape, but now it's gotten deeper. It's red, and looke like a scoop was taken out of his nose there...

Anyone lead me to some ideas? Is hole in the head possible for a corydora? I thought this was only common in Oscars, Discus, and that. I also considrerd it being a possible ulcer??

Oh it's a Spotted Corydora...not sure of the scientific name though

ouch, not sure what it is, all i know is....STRESS COAT and lots of it

That's not a disease, he either scraped himself, or someone bit him.

All that is in with him are baby Koi swordtails who are only 1 inch big.

He is currently in isolation...as to not infect anything else, and prevention has been taken in the main tank already...

something that deep cannot possibly be inflicted by scraping or biting.. unless it was done by a melon scraper.

i know HITH seems unlikely, but thats honestly what it looks like.

Alright, HITH it is, thanks guys for clarification! I have started treatment immediately...

excellent. make sure to keep that water pristine! that looks to be a fairly serious case, if that is indeed what it is.. so be careful, and watch your other fish.

oh don't worry i'm monitoring very closely, just lost one betta yesterday to dropsy, not in this same tank, different area of the house....i can't bare to deal with losing more.

Okay now it's growing fungus ......there are medications in with him...how is this possible?
