Diatom D-1 Vortex Filter

Is there a lot of setup/maintaince with this filter?

There is a little bit of work to it but as it is something you run once in a while it's not too bad. A few observations.... Buy the recharge valve(part P-29), it makes it easier and neater to recharge the DE powder. Follow the instructions when handling the DE powder, refill it outside and wear a dust mask as DE powder is not something you want to breath in. Be careful with the U tubes, they break easy ;)

I find the D-1 a snap to use. 10 minutes to get running, 10 minutes to clean up.
