I have the Lee's knock off python and I was wondering if I should get a real python. I hate the hose on the Lee's one, it is kinda hard and doesn't roll up easily. I also had to go to a hardware store and get this special fitting for it which leaks from between the faucet and the actual piece.(I went to the store again yesterday and the guy put an O ring around the outside and it still leaks, not as bad though. I have been putting a wash cloth over it for months now.) I saw that the python has a universal adapter and I was wondering if I should just get the python and and universal adapter from Big Al's online. Is the hose not that hard and easy to move?

I have had one for several months and haven't had any problems. The hose is very flexible and can be rolled easily.

I've had one >15 years and it still rolls easily. the faucet adapter has been replaced more than once however. The washers at the connectors are replaced every couple of years, just as you would for garden hose.

I just made a 25-foot 'Python clone' for 10.31 (minus the gravel vac)...

I would have to say that the nicest part about the real python is the hose. It is very soft and flexable. It, therefor, coils very easily.

I would definitely go with getting one NJD, and the adapter is universal but doesn't fit "every" faucet. Easy fix though. I just went to the hardware store for an additional adapter. The hose is very flexible making the job that much easier as far as clean-up and storage. I say go for it, it just may be the best investment I've made thus far. ;)
