Me and my girls finaly caught the domino damsel that I have in my 29G tank I want to take it to the LFS tommorw and give it to them, got too big and was picking at the other fish but @ the moment its in a large zip lock bag in the tank how many hours can it be there before a change of water?
Thank you.

as long as air can get into the bag & you take old water out of the bag say 30-50% & refil with tank water every so often 2-3hours throw the day & at nite before you go to bed take 50% of the water out of the bag & top it back up with tank water then there should not be a problem oh yeah don`t feed him.......

To be honest, if it was me, i would just let the bag float in the water till tomorrow with air trapped in it, or leave it slightly open to allow air in there.....remember, sometimes fish are shipped for a few days in the water they are sent out in, happens everyday in the fish transport business...it will be fine.. The main thing is keeping the temp right in the bag, and floating it will do that for you...

I remember reading a post somewhere from a worker at a LFS that found a bag w/ a fish in it floating in there tank from a shipment that came in a week before. I guess the bag went by the overflow or something an no one saw it. The fish ended up being fine.

Thanks all, the coris was being held held hostage in the lower right corner when the domino was there.
