Is it possible to drill into the back of an all-glass standard 29g tank or it the wrong kind of glass? Also, I'm still confused as to which kind of glass is ok to drill. I can drill solid glass, while tempered is a no-no, correct?

Thanks!

BTW, It's good to be back here. I haven't visited AC in months.

usually, i repeat usually only the bottom glass in a tank is tempered glass. there is no way to tell by looking at the glass to tell if it is tempered. tempered glass has been sent through the oven twoce when made instead of once, that the difference. if you try to drill tempered glass, it will shatter as soon as the diamond bit hits it. around here it costs around $25 to drill the size of hole you need in an aquarium, 3/4" to 2". most glass shops offer this service. good luck.

Yep, its just the bottom of an All Glass tank that is tempered. You will be fine drilling the side.
