circulation??

my new set up of approx 130gal will be circulated by means of a return pump from my sump circulating around 12x tank volume.I know that high circulation is needed and wondered if this would be enough to content my reef inhabitants.my water returns from three areas left,right and reef flush along bottom rear of tank(to be used ocassionally).i have heard of people over here in uk turning over 40x tank volume per hour.what in your opinions is my ideal amount of turnover?

The ideal amount varies with the inhabitants. Most here in the colonies say 10 - 20 times per hour. Some say higher. 12X in my opinion is close to bare min.
