On another board I go to I saw a post where a woman said she got a jack dempsey last september and it is now 10 inches, and female. I got mine last july and its only pushing 7 inches, and was about 1 and a half when I got it. I assume she got hers as a baby too. Mine seems small compared to hers. I didnt think they could grow that fast.

I got my female around the same time, she was about 2 inches. Now she is about 6 1/2 inches, and very well fed. I dont think they grow that fast. My nephew has a 10 inch male took 2 years to get that size. Tim
