I currently have a customsealife pc light fixture that I used for saltwater, but I switched to freshwater and need to change the bulb. what's the best bulb for me to use? I was thinking about either the 5000k amazon bulb from customsealife, or the 6700k bulb from the same company. Which one will work better? Thanks for any help. Oh yea it's a 30 inch fixture so it's a 22 inch 65 watt bulb. Any other bulb recommendations?

I believe that it's largely a matter of visual preference and what is available.
Personally I found the 5500 too yellow and the 9325 too white. I settled on the 6700- it looked too green at first but I got used to it. I had a set of 7500's come with a reflector once- blech!!Hideous green.
Try to look at as many different tanks as you can at a LFS- it's expensive to order one of each for a test drive.
I did find this website (http://www.culbertfamily.com/jenya/aquarium/lights/) that shows the effects of different lighting, but unfortunately they don't show a 5500.
Maybe someone else knows of a better comparison site?

Thanks for the website! So in your pictures of your 90 gallon, those are 6700k bulbs? They look good to me. What brand are your bulbs? Thanks!
