I have the digital camera for the day so I figured I would take some updated pictures.
The pictures are kinda hazy because of the sun. I will take more pictures at night when it is dark.

That's a nice set-up, NJDF. I've been looking to get a large Amazon swordplant centerpiece too for a long time.
What is your filtration system? I noticed you also have a CO2 reactor...how is that working? I was thinking about making the same one pretty soon.

Thanks. Yea, I love that amazon sword. It was not even 1/10 that size when I bought it a few months ago. I put a root tab under it every other week.
I just made that CO2 reactor 2 days ago. What happened was that I used to have a knock off python and I got the real python. So, I took the gravel tube from the knock off and drilled a hole in the top of it. Then, I attached it to the u.v sterializer(the powerhead is pushing the water through the u.v.) I put my CO2 line and air stone in the tube and stuffed some filter floss I had lying around in the bottom. It was very simple.
For filtration, I have two Emperor 400s. I know about the surface agitation making the CO2 gass off, but everything is fine. I keep the water level high.

Here Rometiklan, I got a close up of the diffuser for you. I don't know why the glass looks dirty though, I just cleaned it with a magnet cleaner not 2 minutes before the picture was taken.

Here is ground level with the fish. It's cool how when I put my hand to the tank, they all come over to me.

Nice looking tank, it's a good mix of real and plastic plants, so much so that I can't tell if some are real or fake :D

Nice tank! I kinda like that gray substrate you heave there..!
You must get about 100% diffusion on your CO2.. Right?

That is beautiful. So bright and clear! It looks like there isn't any water in there. Very nice set-up.

Hey thanks a lot for the pics of your CO2 diffuser, NJDF...it's much appreciated. That diffuser's definitely going to be a weekend project for me sometime soon. I've got most of the parts just sitting around the house. For now, I'm using a bell diffuser. It's not bad, but it's not as effective as the one you have.
Do you find the diffuser distracting in your tank? I was thinking about using a sump with an overflow box, so I can hide the heater, and the CO2 diffuser in there...another weekend project.
Looks like you have some really nice Serpaes in there. I love those tetras. I have been looking for some nice specimens for a while now. My tank is always a work in progress. There's always some new fish to get, or some gadget to try out. :)

Thanks a lot everyone.
I hope so Joe, not really sure though, but I would imagine close to. Have you ever seen any substrate like that before? I saw it in some dude's tank and it was the nicest I've seen. He also had this big round things in there too, they were like CDs. ;) ;) :)
Rometiklan, I really don't notice it much. I guess I'm just used to something back there.

Yea wolf, you really need to put some type of fertalizer under the amazon swords because the roots need the neutrients. I use AP root tabs.

Wow, nice tank! :)
I wish mine looked like that......I need to get a COČ reactor so I can support more plants.

Nice tank. I love the sword plant :)
I have a question, however... what exactly does a CO2 diffuser do? What is it's purpose and why does it make a difference? I've never heard of one before...

Another thing about that 'gray stuff' at the bottom of your tank..
There's a new gadget out that's called Moon-Lite by Custom SeaLife. You might want to try on for your tank. That gray stuff really looks good when the Moon-Lite simulates a full moon!
Now, if you hardly ever see your tank when the lights are 'low' in the room, or off, then save the $22 or so dollars. The light uses only 1 watt.

Joe, I have to think about those lights for that gray stuff. I have heard that they are very cool. But, a whole 1 watt, thats just too much, I mean, 160 for the lights is ok, but 1!!!! Are you crazy? You have any idea what that will do to my electric bill?;)
clownfish, the CO2 diffuser forces carbon dioxide bubbles to dissolve in the water. The plants need CO2 to survive. I have the diffuser hooked up to my DiY CO2 (http://members.tripod.com/njdevilsfan130/do_it_yourself.htm).
