Well, my 90 gallon is almost ready for fish! I tested the nitrates the other day and they are down to 40 ppm and ammonia is down to 0 (thats after I spiked it again with 3 huge uncooked jumbo shrimp). I have been throwing fish food in each day just to simulate what is going to happen when the fish do get in there and everything has been good so far. I need to do at least one big water change (was going to do that this weekend but thanks to work my 4day weekend turned into a 1 day weekend) probably going to do the wc this next weeekend and test the water again to make sure the nitrates are lower. Right now I have an emperer 400, magnum 350 (one of the two is going to disappear), two powerheads (not sure what they are), a Korilla 2 (hand-me down from my reef tank), and about 100 pounds of lr in the tank. Protein skimmer is high on my list (can't decide, but has to be hang-on, no sump). So here is my tentative stock list (please feel free to comment (additions, subtractions, etc). This is also the the lineup for who goes in first, second, etc.
1. Bicolor foxface siganus uspi
2. Dogface puffer w snowflake eel (these two are already in qt and am considering putting them in first.
3. blue jaw trigger xanthichthys auromarginatus
4. paddlefin wrasse Thalassoma lucasanum

I was considering another puffer (either porcupine or three-stripe) but not sure how they will get along with the puffer I already have and am also worried about overloading with the fish I already have on my list. Again please feel free to comment. Thanks.

Well I tested my nitrates and they are down to around 20 (dumb color charts, looks too dark for 20, too light for 10). I'm going to change out about 20 gal. of water hopefully this weekend and be ready for fish by next week:headbang2: (I hope the pet store still has the bicolor foxface)!

I think that may be a little too much. Since most of those guys are heavy eaters, it will hurt your water quality. I would go with the first three choices you have.

Yeah, I was kinda leaning towards the first three. I'm afraid the wrasse may become a bit of a bully. My friend had one and it was not nice to his puffer. My paddlefin was well-behaved, but I think that was only because the rock-grouper ruled the tank and he was merciless on the other fish in the tank (that is why I ended up giving away a tank and filter to get rid of him).
